Beginning February 2011, I will be conducting local workshop and photo safaris teaching basic techniques of photography by taking visitors and local residents on half-day photo excursions around some of the state capital’s historic sites, while an accompanying professional photographer gives them tips in composition, exposure, interior photography without flash, and outdoor/ indoor portraiture.
Photographers at any skill level are invited to participate in the hands-on photography training field trip, and any camera is acceptable, even cell phone cameras! Soon to come, special workshops for nature, flash, indoor and outdoor portrait, product, architectural, food, pet, macro, maternity, wedding, candid kids, and event photography.
Classes begin February 2011. The current Safari prices is just $120 for a four hour workshop, in specific “photo-op” areas. Workshops begins at 933 Main Street and set off for such historical sites as the State Capital building, University of South Carolina Horseshoe, and the Adluh Flour Company building. Upgrades for private safaris and individual photo critique is available upon request!
